Parks & Recreation

The Petal Parks & Recreation Department is responsible for implementing and conducting activities for the growing population of Petal, as well as the maintenance of facilities within our parks jurisdiction.

Mission

Our Mission is to provide guidance and focus on fulfilling the recreational needs of the citizens by identifying both physical and administrative goals. Our administrative goals are directed toward communication in increasing public awareness of existing facilities and programs offered by our Department.

Recreation Director Josh Young leads the department charged with providing Petal citizens with a range of recreational activities and with the upkeep of the city’s recreational facilities.
